We certainly keep busy here at Flyhigh Works, and next up we have Alchemic Dungeons DX, out now on Nintendo Switch eShop and Steam (PC). Let’s tell you a little about this one!
Alchemic Dungeons, developed by Q-Cumber Factory, originally released on the 3DS eShop. It is a game with randomly generated dungeons and some rogue-like elements, as you explore and aim to progress through levels while fighting enemies and gathering items. This DX iteration has revamped the 8-bit style visuals to suit the Nintendo Switch portable and TV displays, and of course to look great for those that opt for the PC version.
DX is about more than improved visuals and audio, though, as the number of available characters has doubled to 8, including some that players of another recent Q-Cumber Factory game – Ninja Striker! – will recognise. Even if you progress through the levels and succeed in your goal, the game will be different each time you play and you can try out the different styles and abilities of the characters; there’s plenty to keep you busy!
Gathering items is key to progress, as you can then combine them to create more powerful and useful tools. This is another area that was boosted by the developers for this DX release, with many more combinations added. Experimenting with items and creating new alternatives can shape a playthrough.
Take a look at the launch trailer below to get a taste of what this game has to offer!
In addition to this video our CEO has also shared a 10 minute look at the game; it’s in Japanese but gives you a flavour of working through the first area.
Alchemic Dungeons DX is available now globally on the Nintendo Switch eShop and Steam for just $7.99USD / €7,99; we hope you will enjoy it!
